　　The instructions for taking Ruan Wan San state that it can be taken orally. These instructions are a verbatim copy of the relatively conservative standards in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) extracts are prescription drugs, and the use of prescription drugs generally follows medical instructions, which have legal standing. Natural borneol has a sublimation property and cannot be boiled with other TCM extracts. It is slightly soluble in water; generally, we use it in decoction.
